Dr. Raj Hingorani is a seasoned surgeon and hospital administrator whose career spans over three and a half decades across public health, port authority healthcare, and community medicine.

After completing his Master of Surgery in General Surgery from JLN Medical College, Ajmer in 1987, Dr. Hingorani entered Gujarat State Services, where he served as Medical Superintendent at multiple Community Health Centres. During this period, he made a lasting impact by establishing and developing three community health centres, strengthening primary healthcare infrastructure for underserved populations.

In May 1993, Dr. Hingorani joined the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA) as General Surgeon — a role in which he provided critical surgical care to port employees and their families. His clinical excellence and administrative acumen saw him promoted to Medical Superintendent of JNPA Hospital, a position he held with distinction until his retirement in October 2023.

One of Dr. Hingorani's most significant achievements is the development of JNPT Hospital — building and shaping the institution's infrastructure, clinical services, and operational systems, leaving a lasting legacy within the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust. Combined with the three Community Health Centres he established in Gujarat, Dr. Hingorani has directly developed four healthcare facilities over his distinguished career.

He is also a certified NABH professional, demonstrating his commitment to quality and patient safety standards in institutional healthcare. His published research on thyroid swellings reflects a deep academic engagement alongside a lifetime of clinical practice.
